Launched in 1912, the Fortis brand was started by Walter Vogt in
Grenchen, Switzerland. The Fortis brand certainly pushes the space
boundaries being the official watch of the Russian and German space
mission in 1997, and first on board the International Space Station in
2001. The B42 Official Cosmonaut Chronograph is the official watch of
manned space missions authorised by the Russian Federal Space Agency.
The winner of many awards including European Aviation Watch Award in
2004 for the Flieger Chronograph Automatic.
