£399-£449

At 580g it's easily the heaviest, and it's BIG! It seems to burst out of its carry-case, the ear-cup is an inch thick, and the cord too long for a light aircraft – you could plug this in and sit in row 14. The battery/control box is massive and takes four AAs. The clamping pressure is strong but thanks to all the padding on cups and headband it's very comfortable.

FEATURES

Digital Signal Processing technology

Mobile phone/audio device adaptor

Impact-resistant headband design

Powered by battery or from the aircraft's panel

Auto shut-off.

580g

VERDICT

Sheer weight (double the weight of the Sennheiser HMEC250) makes this tiring to wear after a few hours. Passive reduction is good, but ANR average.

After using these headsets for about six months now, I find them absolutely comfortable and do not notice them even on long cross country flights!

The tension is adjustable to fit your comfort, and I happen to like Mickey Mouse!

4 out of 5 because of the price though.
